We work with businesses everyday to plan, produce and install specific parts or entire projects designed to increase productivity, make life easier and or propel brands to the next level. Our main shop is located in Rossland BC and so we have a strong connection to Ski hill culture and have produced many of the everyday items needed to run a ski hill, a ski industry business or live in a ski community.

Check out our many Snowcat cabin models, our Custom truck bodies and toolboxes and our many different signage projects, and then let’s talk.

We have been working with Eagle Pass Heli Lodge over the last couple years and had the luxury of supplying door skins and a skookum railing for their new restaurant deck at ‘The Nest’. The posts have lights wired in and elegant logo’s hidden wherever it helped add class. Finished off with our patina look these features really add to the character of this amazing venue.

Matt bought this old M813 with crane to build another shop and use on the farm. We fabricated bumpers, a headache rack and a new flat deck for this work horse which now looks amazing.

Malakwa, BC

Mustang Powder wanted to try something a little different than what we had done for Baldface and the second version of our defroster style cabins was born! This version has both doors on the drivers side of the machine and uses a retractable staircase. With as many windows and as much storage space as possible, these cabins are separated from the frames on isolators to improve ride and reduce vibration related noise. The cabin is fully sealed and insulated making for a very comfortable ride with defrosted windows allowing great views! Additional cabin lights and USB charging features add to the guests comforts and the cabin provides plenty of space to dry out between powder runs.

Red asked us to assist with the metalwork associated with relocating a chair to their resort. Mofab assisted with base station construction, some tower modifications and the supply of aluminum flooring for the drive station.

We offer custom headache racks, lumber racks and vehicle accessories to meet your needs. Our unique and durable rack designs are custom built for each manufacturer and model so they compliment your vehicle and can handle the loads! We offer a telescoping removable back bar too which stores against the cab and is available in a pinch for long load storage.

The collective fire departments of Winlaw, Balfour, Blewett and Slocan asked us to design and supply a solution to accessing the heavy water bladders stored high up on their fire trucks. We came up with a reinforced solution which included a secondary step and installed them on each of the 4 trucks. It was important to match the existing stylings on these beautiful trucks and make sure they are plenty strong!

Baldface approached Mofab many moons ago to collaborate and design a passenger cabin system for their cat skiing operation outside of Nelson, BC. These cabins are built soundly around winch cat framework and fittings to ensure passenger safety is number 1. In addition we created a defroster system to reduce vertigo and thaw out goggles and equipment. Add in plenty of storage, hydration equipment and some great speakers and you get a legendary Baldface experience!

Meat Street is the brainchild of Billy Blackburn from Rockingham’s(check out the original design he brought in). With a colourful career in the food and beverage industry this is the second trailer we have fabricated for him to tour BC on the summer festival circuit. Aluminum in construction, the trailer features fold out decks and a front bumpout. With features galore and a full walk in cooler in back this trailer has been serving burgers for years!

Trail, BC

We were contracted by the City of Trail to build a custom welding deck for their service truck. Using the criteria and layout set forth by the customer this project came together nicely and can be spotted out in around the City.

Bonnington, BC

This is the project where Matt and James decided to join forces at Mofab! Matt of Moustache Metalworks fabricated the structural steel package while James of Ridgeline Metal Works supplied the architectural details and interior jewellery. Once the partnership was established Mofab returned to fabricate the remaining signage, exterior handrail and finishing details to make this one of the most beautiful mountain lodges!

Rossland, BC

We supplied some replacement chairs to Red Resort for the Paradise lift. Unfortunately they are no longer available from the manufacturer so we worked from some original drawings and a sample to recreate the chairs. After inspections and NDT they are now in service.

Slocan, BC

After over 15 years of service these cabins(built by others) were brought in for restoration. We found some extremely worn out and damaged frame work and had to replace most of the floor structure while reinforcing the framework to be safer moving forward. After replacing the damaged staircases, adding jumpseats, improving the lift points and doing all the general metal repairs these units are ready for another service life in the snow taking skiers out for great experiences!

Nelson, BC

Mofab was contracted by the Nelson Museum Archives & Gallery to fabricate a sculpture to be displayed in front of the Museum. Working with local Architect Thomas Loh we collaborated and tooled this design to be fabricated in house with our plasma and press brake. Once fabrication was complete we worked with our powder coating colleagues to achieve a custom colour per customers requirements. After traffic controls were established we craned the sculpture into position and completed the job.

Trail, BC

This aluminum flat deck was fabricated to haul lumber and building supplies for our local Rona/Maglio’s building center.

Warfield, BC

This flat deck with side cabinets and center water tank was fabricated per design scope for the Village of Warfield for their wildfire response unit.

Balfour, BC

Joe from Sentinel Excavating knew he would be putting abusing his new work rig with his day to day and helped design this custom flat deck for his towing and camping needs. Fabricated from thicker aluminum for a heavier service load this deck accommodates his slip tank, has easy gooseneck access, lots of storage compartments and is notched so his camper fits like a glove! From working out a design rendering to the job site we can fabricate your dreams!
