Artistic

Mofab Metal Works’ structural and artistic ability uniquely positions us in our industry to create one-of-a-kind sculptural metalwork to suit any need, location or whim. Whether you want a stand-alone piece or some metal artistry seamlessly moulded into a more formal project, we have both the tools, experience and motivation to make it happen.

Over the years, we have successfully designed, produced and installed many artistic metal works that have become pillars in communities, stand-out features at businesses and showpieces for homes. Our artistic side transcends every part of our operation; whether we are building a snowcat cabin or a killer whale sculpture, we take care of the little details that make it fit into its environment.

Here are a few of the smaller pieces that have moved through our shop…

Rossland, BC

This sculpture was cut using oxygen-fuel on our burn table from 1.5″ thick corten steel. Designed by David Sidley this sculpture is on display at the Rossland Skatepark.

Nelson, BC

Mofab was contracted by the Nelson Museum Archives & Gallery to fabricate a sculpture to be displayed in front of the Museum. Working with local Architect Thomas Loh we collaborated and tooled this design to be fabricated in house with our plasma and press brake. Once fabrication was complete we worked with our powder coating colleagues to achieve a custom colour per customers requirements. After traffic controls were established we craned the sculpture into position and completed the job.

Parksville, BC

Mofab was contracted to make this piece from mild and stainless steel for a family member in Parksville, BC. Using mild steel for the form and post, the Orca has stainless body panels to contrast the mild steel and highlight the markings.
